Dredmaking Academy is the first such a fully advanced training project in Poland dealing with issues related to alternative hairdressing and dreadmaking. The offer of the academy is mainly addressed to people who want to expand their knowledge with completely new horizons and see how a combination of tradition and modern knowledge can change their approach to hairdressing, especially alternative and dreadlocks as a modern hairstyle.

Dreads – basic training

Training dedicated to all who just want to start their adventure with dreadlocks. During several hours of lectures and practical classes we will introduce you to the world of natural and synthetic dreads. We will dispel all doubts, deny myths and practice crochet techniques.

After dred training in the basic scope you will be able to:

  • braiding dreadlocks – getting first customers;
  • make synthetic dreads;
  • make minor corrections;
  • advise on care and proper maintenance.

We always conduct our trainings with full commitment. Competences developed over the years of dreadlocks weaving and experience in transferring knowledge meant that we know how to teach to teach.

Training dreads – the basic level includes:

  • introduction to the theory of braiding and dreadlocks
  • learning how to braid dreads in practice
  • teaching materials
  • certificate after the completed course

Dreads – the advanced level

If you already know how to braid dreadlocks, you managed to make some nice pieces, and the crochet hook is in your hand – it’s time to expand your competences. We will teach you how to extend dreadlocks and repair their damaged structure. We will advise you on how to deal with maintenance problems, tell you everything about dreadlocks, and also show you some interesting hairstyles.

After the dread training in the extended field you will be able to:

  • start working as a dreadmaker;
  • fix damaged dreads;
  • braid dreadlocks with various techniques;
  • lengthen, thicken, thicken;
  • answer even the most difficult customer questions.

Training dreads – the advanced level includes:

  • comprehensive discussion of the theory related to dreadlocks
  • weaving dreads in practice – details and nuances

Training – synthetic dreadlocks

For yourself or for someone – dreadlocks can contribute to the image for many months or complement the creation for one special evening. During the training, we will teach you how to bra dreadlocks: double and looped. We’ll tell you what mistakes to avoid, what to look for and how to make synthetic dreads remain perfect for a long time.

After training in synthetic dreadlocks and dreadlocks you will be able to:

  • double and loop dreadlocks
  • operate crochet
  • create your own creations
  • sell your dreadlocks

Training – synthetic dreadlocks includes:

  • basic information on the specifics of synthetic hair, crochet handling and dread properties (1 hour)
  • practical learning how to weave synthetic dreads (2.5 hours)
  • teaching materials
  • certificate after the completed course

Dread training – for hairdresser

More and more people are experimenting with hair. Including consultancy and practical skills related to dreadlocks in your offer will be a big step towards new trends. We will tell you how to wash dreadlocks, how to prevent hair damage, and how to advise clients with dreadlocks. We will show you the appropriate preparations and prepare for the most unusual and denoted heads.

Training for hairdressers includes:

  • theoretical information on dreadlocks useful in the work of a hairdresser
  • practice in dreadlocks
  • teaching materials
  • certificate after the completed course

Dread training – for dreadmakers

During many years of braiding and dreadlocks we have encountered many extreme cases. Very neglected dreadlocks, washed out, strongly fused – this is a challenge even for experienced dreadmakers. During the training, we’ll suggest what to do in unusual situations, how to help the client and deal with his dreadlocks.
